Support abortion solidarity by joining the annual Counter Protest and Solidarity Chain. This is in counter protest to the annual anti-abortion “Life Chain” events hosted by the “Campaign for Life Coalition” that happen globally.

For the past two years, the counter protest and solidarity chain event have been organized by Kylee Bakowski, Andrea Barton, and other members of the Pro-Choice Collective of Northern Ontario.

WHO: Anyone can join the counter protest and solidarity chain however please be mindful that explicit images may be shared by anti-abortion protestors.
WHAT: The counter protest and solidarity chain is a peaceful event that involves standing along Lakeshore Drive holding signs of affirmation or accurate abortion information.
WHEN: Sunday October 1, 2023 at 2pm-3pm. Sign-making workshop happening at the nearby park from 1pm-2pm.
WHERE: Along Lakeshore Drive between Judge Avenue and Gertrude Street East, adjacent to the “Life Chain”.
WHY: To show North Bay and Nipissing District that we, like majority of Canadians, value a person’s right to choice and abortion access. To spread accurate information, dispel myths, and destigmatize abortion care.

Buttons from the Pro-Choice collection will be available to purchase. Partial proceeds will be donated to NAF Canada. Cash, debit, or credit will be available.
